Members Hub user guide

Everything you need to find, read and share NET member profiles.

What the Members Hub is

The Members Hub is the searchable directory of NET members. It lives on The NET website and lets you look up any member, read their business details, and pass their profile along to someone else.

Browsing is open to everyone — you do not need an account to search the directory or read a profile. Editing member and team information is reserved for NET administrators.

Finding a member

Search box. Type in the box at the top of the directory. Results are filtered as you type, and matches include the member's name, business name, industry, team, region and the services they offer. Click the x in the box to clear your search and see the whole list again.

A–Z jump bar. When the list is grouped by Member or Business, an alphabet bar appears under the search box. Click a letter to jump straight to the entries that start with it. Letters with no entries are dimmed.

Grouping the list

Use the Group by buttons to change how the directory is organised:

  • Team — members listed under their NET team, with the team's region shown in the header bar.
  • Business — one flat list where the business name is emphasised, handy when you remember the company but not the person.
  • Member — one flat list in name order.
  • Industry — members grouped by the type of work they do.
  • Region — a summary of every team with its member count, sorted by region. Click a team to switch to the Team view opened at that team.

Expanding and collapsing

In the grouped views (Team, Industry) click any blue group header to open or close that group. Use Collapse all / Expand all below the alphabet bar to do the whole list at once. These controls are greyed out in the flat views (Member and Business), because there are no groups to collapse.

Viewing a member profile

Click a member's name to open their profile panel — on a phone, tapping anywhere on the row opens it. The panel shows the member's headshot, their business logo when there is one, business name and tagline, address, services offered, business description, and contact and social links.

  • Use < and > at the top right of the panel to step to the previous or next member without going back to the list.
  • Close the panel with the X button, Esc, or by clicking outside it. You return to the same spot in the list.

Sharing a member

Every member can be shared with a single link that previews nicely in messages and social posts — the preview shows the member's name, business name and their business logo or headshot.

  • From a profile: click Share profile in the panel.
  • From the list: click the three dots at the end of a row and choose the copy-link option.

The link is copied to your clipboard and you can paste it anywhere. If your browser blocks copying (this happens in some embedded pages), a small box appears with the link shown in full so you can select and copy it manually. Anyone who opens the link lands on the directory with that member's profile already open.

Keyboard shortcuts

On a computer these speed things up:

  • / or Ctrl/⌘ + K — jump to the search box
  • G then T / B / M / I — group by Team, Business, Member or Industry
  • E — collapse or expand all groups
  • Esc — close the open panel, dialog or search
  • ? — show the full shortcut list

Shortcuts are ignored while you are typing in a text field, apart from Ctrl/⌘ + K and Esc.

Team leadership (admins)

Signed-in administrators see a Leadership button in the toolbar. It opens a panel where you pick a team and assign a member to each leadership role — President, Vice President, New Member & Guest Coordinator, Education Coordinator and Events Coordinator. Only active members on the selected team can be chosen, and any role can be set to Vacant. Saving updates the leadership badges shown next to member names in the directory.

Tips and troubleshooting

  • No headshot? Members who have not uploaded a photo show the round NET logo instead — nothing is missing.
  • Back to the top. After scrolling a long way, use the up arrow at the bottom of the page to return to the search box.
  • Something out of date? Members cannot edit the directory themselves. Contact your team leader or a NET administrator with the correction and they will update the listing.
  • Nothing found? Try a shorter search term — one word from the business name or industry usually works better than a full phrase.
